Months after starting this site I am finally in a position to start posting content. My first image to post is the North America Nebula I captured with my Vespera 2. It consists of over 4,000 stacked images for a total integration time of over 12 hours. It was captured July 2025 over a number of nights around a full moon. My local skies are rated Bortle 7+ and I used the Vaonis Dual Band filter to bring out the nebulosity of the image.
Processing wise it was processed in Graxpert and then desaturated, sharpened and denoised in Adobe Lightroom. I hope you like it as much as I do.
The image above is massively compressed to make it accessible, the original image is over 125mb in size. I plan to see how much data I can capture and how far I can go to improve the image. I am considering capturing 50 hours plus on this and really looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
